I did not have an idea of what exact model number of the product that is available to make this work but I do remember reading that there were OEM to ipod solutions out there. I don't own an ipod or ipad myself (well I got one for my daughter) but I try to keep up as mush as possible on what is going on in the car audio industry. OK, it looks like dman has posted something up. so you could do a mod like this guy if you did an aftermarket stereo to utilize it.Ī: does your car have an AUX input port on its dash\glove box\center console anywhere?ī: does the ipad have a headphone jack at all?Ĭ: are you looking for a permanent type deal for your ipad in the car, or just a way to listen to music? Ok, so after doing a bit of research, there might be an aux input.Ĭool beans. but in general, since you are trying to do this the minimalistic way - unless there is an AUX port, i would say no. some cars have hacks - or weird harnesses that allow this. Unless your car has an AUX INPUT - and it may - that is the only way you are going to be able to quickly input any audio into the system. So basically the short answer for you is most likely NO, considering you are asking - because it is usually a straightforward solution with a male-to-male 1\8" stereo jack. Realize, the guy in the video is pretty much an idiot.
